The ship hangar for Ascension Mining. I was responsible for all the 3d models, textures, and lighting. This was a recurring area in the game the player would go back to in order to buy new parts and upgrades for their ship as well as construct their ship before their next mission. The hangar had to include areas dedicated to these tasks. Art direction wise, this area was supposed to have an industrial grit to it that made it look futuristic without looking too high-tech; like something that could be built today. And while the environment was supposed to be grungy and look worn out, it wasn't supposed to be depressing, so an emphasis was placed on having a variety of vibrant colors and high contrast lighting.
